Commercial Description:
A lighter style pale ale made with 100%pale malted barley and enough hops to give it a pleasant hop character without being too bitter. This is our answer to the question "can I get a beer".

On tap @ Dempseys poured a clear gold with a minimal off white head. Aromas of carmel, bread and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, bread and light citrus with a smooth bland finish.

This is unexceptional, but pretty good, pleasant, and easy to drink. It is dark gold with a tiny head that rapidly vanishes to nothing. The aroma is very mild, light toasted grain and flowery-citrusy hops. The taste is stronger, but still light. It has a mild, pleasantly balanced malty grain and citrusy hop character with a very light but definite, bite just taking over before the toasted cracker finish. It is light, crisp, and easy to drink while still having some flavour. My biggest complaint is the appearance.

A lovely pint on the river. Nice hop aroma, not an over the top flavour, but very satisfying and balanced. The palate was a bit thin, but overall a very good beer. This is a brewpub, and batch to batch variability is to be expected.
