ratman197 (2370), Arvada, Colorado, USA Sep 20, 2008 On tap @ Dempseys poured a clear gold with a minimal off white head. Aromas of carmel, bread and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, bread and light citrus with a smooth bland finish. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Jan 28, 2008 Updated: Apr 29, 2008This is unexceptional, but pretty good, pleasant, and easy to drink. It is dark gold with a tiny head that rapidly vanishes to nothing. The aroma is very mild, light toasted grain and flowery-citrusy hops. The taste is stronger, but still light. It has a mild, pleasantly balanced malty grain and citrusy hop character with a very light but definite, bite just taking over before the toasted cracker finish. It is light, crisp, and easy to drink while still having some flavour. My biggest complaint is the appearance. Brewnoser (22), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Mar 14, 2005 A lovely pint on the river. Nice hop aroma, not an over the top flavour, but very satisfying and balanced. The palate was a bit thin, but overall a very good beer. This is a brewpub, and batch to batch variability is to be expected.
