Ruddy chestnut-colored beer offers notes of toasted almond and cider in the nose. Lightly sweet, firmly bitter taste with a sourish bready touch and the impression of stewed tea. Finishes dry with bittersweet aftertaste. Highly drinkable. gunnfryd (3603), Kristiansand, Norway

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A more or less clear, copper colored body is topped by a small, beige head. There’s some caramel in the aroma, followed by fresh and some dried fruits, but rather mediocre. The same goes for the flavor, which has a sourish touch along with caramel and fruits. Medium body with a hint of puckering. Sweet, fruity finish with some sourness. A drinkable beer, but not one you find on the top shelf. 090720 Jukkabro (3039), Tampere, Finland

Slightly yeasty, sweet toasted malty aroma with caramel, a tinge of citrus and berries, accompanied with spicy elements. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty base with caramel, restrained fruity notes and a rather tough spicy touch, getting stronger towards the pretty slim finish (21.V.09). oh6gdx (9065), Vasa, Finland
