(BBE 7/09) Deep dark-red colored with little light brown head. Sweet and caramelly, plummy aroma with berries and thin licorice too, good aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet with similar plum dominating, licorice also here. Aftertaste dries with yeast and carbonation, thin vinous note also here. Well, I like this.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a beige and medium-sized foamy head. Sweet, moderately roasty malty aroma with caramel, chocolate and subtle berry-fruity (blueberry) notes . Roasty bitter and malty sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasty malt-character with caramel and a tinge of chocolate; sweet and roasty bitter, slightly alcoholic finish with caramel. Reminds me rather of a dark Bock than a Belgian Ale (13.IV.09).

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of berries and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices - cinnamon and coriander as well as notes of malty and caramel. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Clear medium red amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty notes, moderate yeasty, sharp. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (010808)

Bottle at chris_0’s pre banter banter. Alround rating: Typically belgian fruity yeasty, grassy hop, bit borring to be honest.

33cl, exclusive brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, not balanced, hazy, small head, nothing special

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s.
Darkish amber with a thin rim of foam. Lots of caramel, some faint yeasty notes and grassy hops. Reasonably balanced but nothing to get excited about.
