Carbonation. Small white head. Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured and strong in alcohol with a little dryness and spiced flavour in a crisp malt finish. harrisoni (6802), Ashford, Kent, England

Thick lasting beige head. Pretty light tripel, more like a strong blond to be honest. Some creaminess. It’s alright, if a bit characterless. MagnumPI (56), Essex, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2009 This was the first beer of my annual leave, the first of two on the red sofa. The Dendermonde Tripel gave an average smell on pouring, and ended with quite a robust initial head. A good pale colour with hints of oranges deeper in, and definite grapefruit and undertones of further citrus that stirred on the tongue. The taste was excellent though, making this a good all-round strong tripel. In fact, some more over-rated tripels I doubt could live with this on a blind taste-test FourBees (1), Texas, USA does not count | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/20 | Jun 10, 2009 Thoroughly disgusting. Smelled and tasted as if it had been brewed with chicken fat. Purchased in Dallas, TX area. From a flight of Tripels that I bought before brewing one - almost convinced me not to bother. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a hazed pale gold body and a frothy white head. Aroma of bread, plastic, berries and unripe pear. A waft of mandarin orange liquor. Taste is yeasty with undercooked bread, rotten orange and a bit of an odd yeasty caramel aftertaste. Slightly dry and tart finish. Not bad, but certainly not memorable. Very lively and shrill carbonation. Dry mouthfeel. TaxiDriver (938), Stadland, Germany
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Bottle. Light fruity aroma, strong smell of yeast, light malty and alcoholic. A large white creamy-foamy head with a long duration, the body is dark orange. The taste is medium bitter and started light sour, then it gets mild. The carbonation is normal, the body is creamy and the body is light to medium. ogivlado (3070), Zagreb, Croatia

Quite ordinary abbey tripel; alcoholic, spicy and fruity with notes of coriander and alcohol. In general OK, but so far had this kind of beer few dozen times. Doggythedog (1589), Split, Croatia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2009 0.33l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from Hungary (thanks!). Poured a murky orange body witha medium sized thick white head that went away somewhat fast. Fruity nose, strong alcohol, orange (fruity), a bit spicey and soapy. It’s a rather empty Tripel taste-wise, spicey, dusty, some bubblegum, fine but all too light maltiness, dry, chalky yeastiness, some lemony hop, slightly acidic, despite the nose, no alcohol in the taste. Hmm. Not impressive for the style.
