Oct 14, 2007 bottled. purple with a thin white head. surprising aroma reminded me of a u.s. barley wine - some pine and cookie dough. semi-sweet, some cocoa powder and a dry, grassy finish. i’m glad to see newer czech dark beers getting away from the style of the most popular, overly sweet staropramen/kozel type versions

Oct 18, 2008 Bottled(500ml). -Reddish ruby coloured, small off-white head, mild smoked and caramel nose. Light roasted malt, caramel and herbs with slight notes of wood. Mild and pleasant dunkel.

Nov 1, 2008 500ml bottle. Tan semithick head. Very dark red color. Aromas of sweet roasted malts, coffee, tatels. Very nice smooth palate! Aroma is roasted malts dark chocolate, coffee, goes little bit bitter at the end.

Jul 15, 2008 Bottled. Very smokey aroma, berry and lots of chocolate. Taste very full, with a long, bitter finish.
