Tangy, lots of citrus, with wheat malt, banana, and spice. Relatively heavy and rich, but the lemon/sour balances the sweetness. This is certainly a decent hefeweizen with no outstanding faults, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why it is rated best in the world on this site. I don’t think it compares with the better Bavarian-made wheat beers.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 25, 2003 Dark lemon coloured, perfectly cloudy and in some ways clear. . . Amazing. Full yeast with some fresh baked sourdough. . . Lightly complex on the tongue, doesn't bombard the palate with the sweetness of some of the more run of the mill wheats. . . Finish has wonderful hops, fresh wheat and yeast. I have never had anything like this. . . garthicus (1305), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2008 On tap - Beer Bistro: Perhaps it was the candle light, but this was a beautiful, glowing yellow-orange body, simply superb looking, a pure frothy white head. Nose of yeast and wheat, some banana in there too. A delightful wheat flavour, fruit (bananas, papaya) and yeast, just lovely. This summer will be awesome, sitting on a patio or in a beergarden (or on a certain ratebeerians balcony) supping a Denisons Weissbier. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2003 Aroma is as much banana as clove, but not as over the top phenolic as say weihenstephan. Full-bodied, and nice carbonation which feels good on the tongue. If this is at 80%, I need to taste it at its peak. Thanks, Josh. Brigadier (1246), Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA

After getting to town and getting settled in I had C’est What to myself for a few hours. This was my first pint and I am glad I did not ask for just a half pour. Spending my time enjoying it I could have had nothing else the rest of the trip and been happy. This is an ideal hefe that is both easy drinking and flavorful.
Aroma / Appearance
- Hazy golden orange in hue the white head sparkled in the basement light. Lemon rinds, orange peels, and other sharp crisp fruity aspects made this a rival for some of the better hefes I have tried in memory.
Flavor / Palate - Carbonated with a nice kick the little bit of hops jolt the senses to life. A sea of fruity citrus (lemon and orange) makes the palate sit up and beg for more. It tastes almost like peach champagne. My only problem may be that after two full points of this I would be so full I could not enjoy any more. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Banana, clove, and even some light bready notes in the aroma. Pronounced clove and banana flavours, plus lemon and some background orange peel. Light to medium bodied, very refreshing. Very tasty!
