Solid, opaque golden yellow color, quite a lot of yeast in this one. Lemony, fruity flavors abound, again just slightly lactic and quite spicy, especially on the finish. Very nice and one of the better German Wheats I've sampled to date. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada

Great aroma of orange, banana, light fruit and even bubblegum. Some hints of yeast and a very light spiciness. The body is spritzy with a light roasted hop beginning. Dries quickly towards the end and is somewhat light. There isn't any tartness but there is a light tangy quality rounded with some orange notes. Very nice wheat, welcome back. Aroma is a cold lemon peel, lemoncello, and alcohol. Pours a very cloudly, darker than expected golden, with a minimal white head. Flavor is light and sweet. Good, strong lemon characters, over a thick, chewy wheatiness. A long finish in fun hops, spiciness, and creamed malt character. Delicious. I think this is solid, but not mind-blowing. The yeast characters are great. The wheat good, the hops nice, the beer refreshing, but it doesn’t break any Hefe barriers. It’s just a damn good, solid example. On further thought, the most astounding feature of this beer is its finish. It just goes on and on in rich lemon, wheat, and spice complexity. There’s just a depth of finish flavor that I don’t get with other Hefes. Glouglouburp (2877), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

How: Tap at Volo, Toronto
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body topped by a large white head with medium retention
In long: Nose of lemon pie, coriander and orange peels. In mouth the beer feels very full with its big wheat body. Bready, doughy and crisp at the same time. Lemon pie, pancake, cloves, coriander, light acidity and tartness. One of the rare beer that manage to be both very nourishing and very refreshing, two desirable qualities that usually don’t come together, like a small ass and big tits.

Beautiful rocky head with a gorgeous murky lemon colour. Smells of citrus, coriander and minor notes of cloves. It is a bit dryer and less sweet then I had expected, but does taste of cereal and bananas. It has a very nice spicy lemon finish.

Nose of yeast and wheat, some banana in there too. A delightful wheat flavour, fruit (bananas, papaya) and yeast, just lovely. This summer will be awesome, sitting on a patio or in a beergarden (or on a certain ratebeerians balcony) supping a Denisons Weissbier. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA

The corriander shows on the plaate with the banana and the nice balanced mildly acidic finish. RaphaelN (195), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

Orangeish-yellow pale colour. Smell was sweet and reminiscient of banana peel. Flavour was immediately of bananas, cloves and citrus with a very very light hint of lemon. Mouthfeel was medium and it had quite a nice body to it. I was surprised to find something so good for so cheap, and the ratings here confirm that I’m not the only one who thinks so.
EDIT: Had a very bad pint recently at Volo that tasted like it was fermented in corn. Not sure if there are QC issues with the brewery, but I was just taken aback by the major change.
