My original score was a little low (low 3’s) only because I rated it from a keg at a private party and the serving conditions were far from ideal. I’ve certainly changed in my appreciation of different styles in the past 2 years as well. I love the Banana in the aroma, the full bodied chewiness, the perfect appearance when served right (I usually get mine at Volo) - this is wonderful stuff and the brewer is a fantastic person to chat with. A must have if you’re visiting Toronto and a regular item for those of us who live here. beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I love wheat beers and I was not dissapointed. It has a stronger banana taste than some other wheat beers I have had. A very refreshing beer and I will definitely have it again when I go back. A great wheat beer. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Enjoyed this on tap at a place called BierMarkt, which has a fantastic selection. Since this is a local brew and chances of me making it back up to the Great White North anytime soon were remote, I led off with this one and was not displeased. The body was rich and golden as typical of a good hefe. The head was thick and creamy. No orange wedge was served and that was nice. It smelled of banana nut crunch and bubblegum. At the first swallow, the brew was slightly chilled and the taste mimicked the aromas. If there weren’t a hundred other beers on the menu to get through, I would have had another. jondis2 (1), Canada does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Never has a beer so changed my mind on what exactly beer is. Amazing clove aroma opens up into a refreshing Banana and slight citrus taste, that will leave you never wanting for more..... until it’s gone, and you want MORE! I have to admit, it is my second favorite style of beer, so I have a soft spot for this Oakville brew. I never had the pleasure of enjoying Micheal’s pub down on King, but one day (cross your fingers), hopefully we could see it again. And tonnes of respect for his decision to remain small (with high quality).

Cloudy ochre colour with slight head and nice lacing. Yeasty sweet aroma. Yeasty bread flavour with traces of bubblegum and bananas, and spices. Very nice aftertaste. One my all time favourite beers. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Updated: Jan 4, 2008Huge banana aroma with some cloves and plenty of wheat character. Opaque yellow-blonde body is topped by a decent stand of bright, white, fine bubbled head that lasts throughout and coats the sides of the glass. Banana flavour is strong but never overpowers the wheat tartness with cloves shining through in the aftertaste. Very nicely blanced, the flavour evolves across the tastebuds. Medium light body with strong, crisp carbonation that cleanses the palate and awakens the mouth. Smooth texture. Excellent! Enjoyed on tap at C’est What! Original rating at C’est What? during the 2006 football season when the Als were in Toronto. Resampled during Grey Cup weekend 2007 at Caffe Volo with similar notes and score. Aroma is lightly spicy, with a big kick of banana and citrus. Taste is yeasty, and creamy in the mouth, well carbonated, with flavours of citrus, cloves and banana. Lots of banana, in fact, following long into this beers beautiful finish. This is the best hefeweizen I’ve had. Stunning! Hopefully this will be sold by the bottle in the near future...I would buy it all the time, and so would you. JustinBathurst (134), Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jun 1, 2004 An yellow on the side of amber (copper-gold), cloudy with some head that leaves a lace and clings the glass all the way down very nicely.
Smells of grass, banana and some citrus. Very nice.
Has a creamy and heavy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not stout heavy, just right.
Tastes of spice (cloves) and banana, has a slight bitter finish with a spice aftertaste that lingers. All in all, a favourite.
