Bottle.Swing top and poured with an orange appearance.Small head and no lacing.Quite malty with a sweet finish.Medium body and all round quite impressive.

Dec 15, 2009 Bottle, 500ml swing top from Bellingers Garage, Grove. Red amber with white head. Is this really only exported to the UK? From the ratings so far it looks like it. Soft fruity ale like beer, some grapejuice notes followed by an earthy hop. Not bursting with flavours, but simple and drinkable. Pretty reasonable.

Oct 9, 2009 Bottle that I picked up at The Dodgi Deli, Cowley Rd, 09-10-09 consumed the same day. Pours amber slight haze, not much of a head but what there is white. Nice maltiness but there is a slight nod to a UK bitter, touch of Oxo on the nose. Another nice Dentleiner beer. A7 A2 F7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Oct 2, 2009 Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Poured a murky bronze colour, with a rapidly diminishing off white head that faded to nowt. Interesting aroma that had notes of bread, fruit, white pepper and sweet malt. Could be I’m just not sold on this style but the flavour didn’t do an awful lot for me. Malty and a bit heavy, I didn’t take to the breadiness; with not much happening in the finish either. Its not particularly offensive, just not my thing.

Aug 23, 2009 Swingtop from Arden Wines popping open like gunshot. Dull tawny amber with fine bits, clearly naturtrub, slim white collar to a swirl. Fantastic drab unfizzing stillness like a real hairs-on-your-chest English bitter toward the bottom of the pot. Clean herbal aroma with cut grass, thistle, pine and eucalyptus; sourish yeast, maybe gooseberry, honey, metal, peanut butter dabs. Full and clean with fine herbal hop and bready malty yeasty balance. Clings with vanilla, biscuit, honey and hop. Pretty chuffed to find an unfiltered real German as good as this in my local offie.
