Sample from the bottle conditioned version courtesy of Kevin, the brewmaster at Denver Chophouse. Copper bodied. Head fades fast leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Nose is light spicy hops, floral notes, and fruits. Taste is similar with more light spicy hops, flowers, light yeast, subtle earthiness and dried fruits. Body is light but refreshing. Ends with more spicy hops, sweet malts, touch of dried fruit flavor and grass. Some yeast coming through as well. The bottles were to be used at GABF, so we we’re lucky to sample them. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 29, 2006 on tap-pours a light tan head that laces and amber color. Aroma is coriander, medium malt-fruity. Taste is medium malt-fruity/sweet, coriander. Dry/musty finish. OK carbonation. Medium body. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 17, 2006 Wheaty texture, lightly toasted cereal maltiness, with some nice acidity, has some nice fruitiness, along with a bit of a yeasty texture, with some of the same spiciness that goes along with it. Not really what I would consider a saison, but somewhat enjoyable nonetheless. Ernest (4179), Boulder, Colorado, USA May 7, 2006 Draught.

A rather spartan interpretation. JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 1, 2003 (draught - Denver) DRAUGHT Saison? Full-hazy yellow. Fine white head. Wheat-smell, slightly spicy (pepper, Szechuan-pepper). Taste is banana & cloves. This is a bl**din Weizen!!! And not even a good one at that. Medium bodied, very carbonated, fizzy, banana aftertaste. OUCH!! Does 'Rock-Bottom' mean one can't fall any deeper?
