BeerandBlues2 (2370), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 8, 2007 Draught. Pours cloudy yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, lasting, fair lacing. Aroma
is average malt (straw, grain), light hops (citrus), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes
of coriander. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Average
duration, light sweetness and bitterness, moderate acidity.
BillKismet (1337), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 26, 2007 Light murky yellow with a ring of head. Piquant spiciness in aroma with distinct cloviness. Rather bland flavor of yeast (cloves/banana) and wheat. The ingredients never unfurl and differentiate. The_Beer_God (2789), Newport News, Virginia, USA Nov 11, 2006 Draft at Denver Chophouse. Golden body. Nose is lemon, light yeast and wheat. Taste is more wheat notes, light lemon tang, some sweet malts and yeast notes. Body is medium, crisp and rather refreshing. Ends with more lemon, wheat/grains and yeasty notes. Not a favorite style of mine but this wasn’t bad. (Original rating - 5, 3, 6, 3, 11)
Cask sample courtesy of Kevin, brewmaster at Denver Chophouse. Murky, muddy gold. Nose is rather odd. Lemon, yeast and wheat but there’s a weirdness to it. Taste is more lemon and wheat/grains but a touch more yeast to it. Body is creamy and slick. Almost no carbonation feel to this. Ends with more lemon, wheat/grains and yeast. Prefer the standard draft, really. jcwattsrugger (3721), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 29, 2006 on tap-pours a white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is sweet, grassy. Taste is rock candy, musty wheat, with some clove, hops, yeast. OK effervescence.
willblake (1912), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Oct 8, 2005 10.02.05 Tap at brewpub. Hazed gold-yellow. More sourness. Not much fruit. Yeasty and doughy, some curacao. Thin stuff but effy. I doubt the sourness is supposed to be there but it makes the stuff interesting.
