Bottle brought back from Tennessee by my friend Alan. Ruddy brown pour with a short light tan colored head. Aroma is slightly smokey/ashy with caramel, sweet malt, and berries. Taste was more smokiness/ashiness along with sweet malt, caramel, and slightly tart fruit (berries or cherries). Body is light-medium with a mild, prickly carbonation. Light tartness as well. Ends with more caramel, tart fruit, ash, and sweet malt.

Botlle. Malty taste, a little more sour then I thought it would be. Didn’t really taste the "smoke" as in the description. Really smooth. Nice balanced aroma. A lot more head then I expected. Not great but a pretty good beer.

12 oz bottle sent to me be Suttree. Pour is a murky light brown copper with a loose three inch light tan head. Falls slower than expected, with some lacing. Aroma of sweet slight sour black cherry fruit, followed closely by smoky roastiness. Taste is the black cherry sweet malt along with only a hint of the smoke and peat of the nose. Palate is light medium, high carbonation and a crisp brief finish. Easy drinking beer, though the sour and high carbonation were a bit much - perhaps I got an infected bottle? Either way, thanks for sending it my way Phil.

Brown orange pour with an almost orange tan head. Aroma is mostly caramel, won’t let on to the smoke. The taste is awesome smoky, campfire, ash, caramel malt body.

Bottle, #486. Very dark pour with small tan head. Caramel and smokey malt profile. Low hops. Decent beer.

Dark brown body with an aroma of caramel, peat and earth. A flavor was similar with a bit of smoke and sour.

Bottle courtesy of dkachur by way of Numenor on 04/11/2009. Slightly hazy brown body with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel, earthy malt aroma with some peat, smoke and a touch of spice. Sweet smoke and pete flavor with some dry malt and slight tart hints. Light body with moderate carbonation and a fairly thin mouthfeel.
