Commercial Description:
This hoppy German-style Pilsner is winning the hearts of local brewery loyalists and national award show judges. And its earned the starring role at our anniversary parking lot bash this summer. Moving into the summer months, Deschutes Brewery is celebrating its 18th Anniversary by releasing a Pilsner by the same name. The newest beer in the Bond Street Series, 18th Anniversary Pilsner is a light, refreshing lager that is brewed mostly with Saaz hops from the Czech Republic and 100% Pilsner malt. Eighteenth Anniversary Pilsner might be a bit hoppy for a traditional pilsner but it maintains a delicate flavor profile that showcases our state-of-the-art German brew house and our brewers’ passion for this style of beer.

Bottle. Light straw color with a white head. Low fruity/malty aroma. Bready, malty, spicy hop flavor with slight fruitiness and earthiness (but everything a bit subdued). Malt and earthiness lingers. Medium bodied. Very clean. Refreshing and easy to drink. It’s a better beer than it scores, but it doesn’t bring much to the table except good balnce, and being very clean.

Bottle: Clear pour of a pale gold with virtually no head. Doughy aroma with hints of lemon. Taste is more grassy with hops, some maltiness, and a bit of grain. Finished with a crisp, clean note.

Nice gold color with average sized white head. Light sweet aroma. Just a touch of hops on the first sip, with a little hint of grass. Medium body with a clean finish.

22 oz. bottle via trade with Buck Dich - Pours a very clear straw color with a small white head. Very light carbonation and lacing. Has a light grain and grassy aroma. Has a very slight citrus and grassy hop flavor. Light to medium body. Not bad. Thanks Jordan.

Light yellow with little to no head and sparse, very sparse lacing. There is a sharp bite of lemon citrus in the nose followed by a huskiness and some grass. A drop of honey is found within the aromas as well. The flavor is more husky and a touch toasty. Some bitter and grassy hops with just a hint of pine. There is just a presence of alcohol in the end with a citrus bite. Light and refreshing palate and the end is the bitter citrus. Not too shabby

Pours light pale yellow with a small frothy white head, almost completely dissipates in seconds. Aroma is sweet malt (corn, grain, meal), yeast (sweat, dough), grass, straw and trace hops. Moderately bitter hop, tart acidity, low sweetness, adjunct malt and sweaty yeast, metallic finish. Light bodied, fizzy and slightly creamy palate.

Quickly fading head; light yellow. Decent texture; smooth and rich-feeling, with moderate carbonation. Decent aromas of herbs, earth, flowers and plants. Healthy bitterness to boot. Malts were grainy and bready, with only a mild sweetness (honey and sugared lemons). Dryish finish leaves behind some nice aromas. Not a bad pils.
