| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2006 Quickly fading head; light yellow. Decent texture; smooth and rich-feeling, with moderate carbonation. Decent aromas of herbs, earth, flowers and plants. Healthy bitterness to boot. Malts were grainy and bready, with only a mild sweetness (honey and sugared lemons). Dryish finish leaves behind some nice aromas. Not a bad pils. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Pours with a rocky, dissipating head; bready aroma with notes of straw, lemon, spicey hops; light malty flavor and fairly hoppy finish; somewhat astringent and metallic; I’m not very impressed with this. ratman197 (3270), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Draft at Piper’s Creek. Enormous frothy platinum blonde head on top of a rich golden tower of fizz. Looks like it could be industrial or it could be brilliant. Unfortunately, it’s closer to the former. The usual sour, metallic shambles of an industrial mega. Definitely would not have expected such a thing from Deschutes, especially given the effort they’re putting in to spreading the word about this one. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Thanks to Ken B. for this one. Pours pale gold with 1-finger, creamy white head. Aroma of pale malt, grassy hops, slight honey and citrus. The flavor was pale malty, with some honey notes, and a nice, crisp mid-palate burst of hopcitrus, and a very crisp, clean finish. | 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of tin and soap.
Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Surprisingly more like a third world lager than a German pilsner. Industrial smelling. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Earthy hop aroma. Easy drinking but thin, with earthy hop flavorings. Not a bad beer, but Deschutes typically delivers a better product.
