Commercial Description:
Deschutes Brewery's summer bond Street Series offers yet another refreshing, hot weather quencher to complement Twilight Ale. This unique Belgian-style wheat beer was brewed with zested Curacao orange peel and just enough spices to keep your taste buds guessing. Our brewers tinkered with the recipe for months at the Public House in Bend, Oregon, before perfecting what will arrive on shelves in 22-ounce bottles this June. One prototype of the Wit was sampled at Portland's Spring Beer and Wine Festival in March, where it earned a gold medal.

Bomber. I agree with the "Good not great" comment. Golden color, not very tangy, nice clove aftertaste. Grains of paradise are a nice touch.

Bomber from GM Liquors; Nose of wheaty yeast, some banana, corriander, and some citrus; urine yellow with a medium pale yellow head; flavor has some banana, pepperiness, corriander and ginger, and an orange note. Good not great!

I can’t believe people equate Blue Moon with a beer like this. A refreshing summer wit that tastes a little spicy in the middle. A nice clean finish.

Bottle pour. Cloudy golden yellow with a light white head. Aroma is very light citrus and wheat, a hint of banana. Flavor is sweet, slight acidic bite, with hints of citrus, banana, and cloves. Highly carbonated, finishes very clean with just a hint of acidic citrus.

I like wit but this was either too old and lost its character or it was just a little light on the orange and coriander. I am used to drinking them fresh homebrewed so I suspect it was half a year old or more. A boring lightly spiced wheat beer. No Belgian yeast character whatsoever.

Bottle pours a cloudy straw color with a medium size, well lacing, white head. Aroma is light citrus, wheat, and banana. Taste is slightly sweet with light acidic notes of lemon & orange zests, hints of clove, coriander, and wheat. All of which are very light and complementary. Lively carbonation and very clean finish.

Bottle courtesy of golubj; poured a cloudy yellow color with a short lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, straw/earth, banana, with only the slightest hint of spice. Probably more spice than most in the flavor. Lacked alot of great wheat flavor; not much banana. Pretty dry flavor. Fairly disappointing

I actually thought this was a lot better beer than the ratings here show. It isn’t anything special as far as a 20th Anniversary special release is concerned, but it is a good beer. Pours a hazy gold (actually one of the lighter beers I have drank in a while). Thin white head. Nice wheat, lemon, orange flavor and aroma. I could actually see drinking this a lot on a warm summer day. Unfortunately, I live in Illinois and I won’t see those for a long time now.
