Aroma – Nice light Belgian yeast aroma slight banana with a good wheat malt background.
Appearance – Golden in color, light head and hazy.
Flavor – This was a wonderful Belgian flavored beer to drink. Had a very nice light wit flavor.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, Very good texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – I was expecting ore but got less and it was pretty good. A very nice light beer for the night and the flavors where very good.
doubleo (720), San Diego, California, USA Aug 20, 2008 On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours golden with a thin, creamy, white head, some lace. Smells crisp, cereal malty. Tastes bland and cereal malty. Not sweet malty just cereal. A bit stale tasting. Medium body, subdued carbonation. blutt59 (624), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2008 bottle, has an opaque yellow color with a large foamy head, nose is light banana, flavor of banana and cloves, finishes a little watery but pretty good neverthess ebowman (7), Seattle, Washington, USA does not count Aug 16, 2008 Pours with almost no head and has none of the cloudiness that you expect from a wit. There is a very faint aroma of spices and citrus notes, but overall it smells yeasty. Lemon is the most pronounced flavor for the beer. The beer is extremely drinkable, but it’s really no more remarkable to me than a run of the mill lager. I expect more from Deschutes. ajm (304), USA Aug 15, 2008 Refreshing but forgettable - and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Appearance as expected but with no cloudiness; very light aroma. Flavor of sweet yeast, lemon, sourdough, sugar. Smooth finish, not too sour or bitter. Does nothing wrong, but does nothing spectacularly. lb4lb (1340), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours a light clear yellow with a lasting whitish head. Smell is lightly of wheat, and subtle hops. Mild, but not bad. Taste is wheaty, a bit thin and mild, with some light bitterness to complement and balance. Not bad, but a bit thin bodied, and flavored. Nothing too spectacular overall.
