MadMan (480), Tempe, Arizona, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a mostly clear yellow with medium fizzy white head. Aroma comes through with bready malt and wheat malt, with some hints of citrus and spice. Flavor is very mild, wheaty and yeasty, with some lemon and citrus and some coriander and spice. Finish is short and clean. Feels a bit thin and watery in the mouth, good for a refreshing quencher or just plain unpleasant and out of place.... I’m not quite decided. Not that I rate to style but this one seems confused about what it wants to be. Not bad, but I’m not racing out to get more like I did the BBXX.
fordest (1857), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 22 oz bottle. Some sweet aromas with some floral notes. Flavors were not as sweet. Citrus and bright fruits but heavy on the wheat twang. Just okay. slimchill (694), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Sweet coriander and somewhat chalky aroma. Clear for style, yellow with thin head. Dry and chalky, light coriander and very little citrus. Thin. Boring. presario (2501), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Nov 18, 2008 Clear gold. Very carbonated. Thin head. Nice light pepper aroma. Light pepper flavour builds to long lasting peppery aftertaste. (Soft table pepper) Like a peppery golden ale. Delirium (440), Santa Cruz, California, USA Oct 26, 2008 Bomber. Pours slightly hazy yellow-golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweetish malt, witbier yeast and spices, with quite a bit of coriander. Flavor is similar, with a noticeable bit of orange peel. Not going to win any excitement awards, but it all comes together nicely. anders37 (2834), Malmö, Sweden Oct 25, 2008 Draught @ Deschutes Brewery and Public House, Portland, OR.
