On tap at the Bond st pub. I hesitated to try this one (not usually an ESB fan). Glad I tried it! Pours cloudy orange with a small white foamy head. Nothing offensive and everything is well balanced and smooth with a slight bitter finish. I could drink these all day.

Super drinkable! Extremely well balanced, with a great bittersweet maltiness, and a light bit of fruitiness, assertive flavors on the palate. Would love to have some more of this.

1/1/08 with Bikesanbeer, and Deschutes was open even though we thought we it wouldn’t be open till the next day, 6th brewery of the trip. Pours orange with a bright white half finger head. Nose has bits of mlat and sweetness. Taste is pretty nice, with some rolling bitterness.

If this is meant to be drunk pint after pint, they hit on a good formula. Simple yet affective. Proportionate results. Near minimum malt and hops (in respect to the many bing Cali, CO and other beers I’d been drinking of late) but in sufficient quantity and quality that it JUST WORKS.

From the tap at their brewpub. Aroma is a little fruity and the hops are floral. The flavor is balanced and starts sweet with the malt and finishes bitter. Smooth palate with low carbonation. More bitter than the Mirror Pond Ale. I really enjoyed this one.
