Bottle BBD 06/04/04 Slight head, copper/amber color. Hoppy and carmelly malt aroma, what I would expect from a good PNW brew. Smooth with a more malty than bitter finish perhaps. Hops certainly make an impact in the flavor, but the malt is there. Nice hop spice. I’d like to have this on tap as my house session brew. Good hoppy quaffer.

These guys at Deschutes haven't disappointed me yet. Copper colored. Getting a lot of hops in the nose. Mildly carbonated with a nice balance of malt and hops. Lingering hop flavors are present long after the last sip. A very good, easy drinking beer.

Bottle pours amber with minor sudsy head.   Light aroma of sweet malts and hops.   Slight maltiness up front, quickly turns mildly bitter that lasts through to the finish.   Slight sprucey/piney tinge lingers.   Smooth, medium bodied, not overly bitter, quite enjoyable this is.

Copper color on the pour, head recedes quickly, fine lacing on the glass. Sweet malt and english hops in the nose, bitter finish, but not exceptionally so. Nice ESB.

Not as bitter as I'd expect from an ESB, but quite drinkable. Not very dry, either, but a bit of hoppiness. This beer found it's way into the sale case at my fav store, 2.99 a six pack (And no tax in MT). For 3 bucks, this didn't have to be my fav ESB, still tasty and drinkable.

Murky amber color, small off white head that faded quickly to leave a small amount of lace.Malty, caramel aroma with hints of fruit and hops. The flavor is only lightly fruity with a decent malt taste and fairly decent hop presence. The finish is mildly bitter with a decent grapefruit, hop after taste. Not to bad a brew, and fairly drinkable.Well worth trying again.

Kind of disapointing. Not as dry and bitter as I like my ESB's. Still a quality beer that I enjoyed.

Nicely peachy, thin white lacing. Definite hops in the nose, goodly amount of pine, bit dry and bready. Hops are sharp, lots of pine. Bit of scotchiness, a bit of woodiness. Nice finish, stretches out, bit sweet as it ends. Nice stuff.
