Aroma is roasted nut and it has a very smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is caramel malt and hints of coffee bean with bits of dark chocolate as well. The finish is easy and lasts for a little while. Nice abv level makes it even easier to enjoy one more! pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Nice nose of roast grains some coca and sweetness, grassiness clean aroma.
A decent new world porter...enough roast/cocoa/coffee and some nice hopping a good dose of malt verging on sweet but not getting there, nice nutty discernment, some fruity ester like dark dried fruit...longish wet finish.
A good porter in the Micro tradition and well made

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2008 bottle - Pours near black with a roast malt and coffee aroma. The flavor is much the same with nicely accented coffee notes and a decently balanced bitterness. I thought it was a touch thin and overall it’s alright, but I’ve had better porters. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Malty dark roasted aroma has chocolate hints. Clear, ruby brown body with a quick creamy off-white head. Dark coffee malt roast flavour again has those nice chocolate notes. Grainy medium-full body. Super coffee-ee. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA

Flavor was terrible. For a minute I thought I was drinking out of a drity creek or something. One of the worst porters i’ve encountered.
