Flavor was terrible. For a minute I thought I was drinking out of a drity creek or something. One of the worst porters i’ve encountered. Aroma of roasted barley, malt and chocolate. Goes down easy with a nice bitter chocolate, sour, toasted barley flavor. Pretty nice porter. rayOfBeer (319), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Poured from bottle black with a tan head. Aromas of roasted grains and warmed chocolate. The beer tastes of toatsted grains, roast coffee and, on the sweeter side, bittersweet chocolate. There is a smooth almost creamy malt mouthfeel, yet it’s easy to drink with subtle bitterness. I’ll be buying this one again. Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia
