very nice aroma of cherry, coffee and malt. Pours a dark cherry brown, thick head. Coffee, sweetness, smooth finish. Light hops. Enjoyable.

12oz bottle.
Courtesy of Degarth via trade. Pours a nice soothing dark brown-black. Thin head quicky disappears. Aroma is chocolate, roasted grain and a touch of earthy hops and yeast. Flavor is roasty, earthy grains, chocolate, a small hint of caramel, gentle hop bitterness and a surprising does of dark fruit tones -- dried dark cherries perhaps. Finishes with a medium to slightly thin mouthfeel. Not bad, but I waited a year to drink this and probably should have drank it sooner.

Bottle. Grassy/hoppy rush of hops upon opening, followed by faint roast and medium milk chocolate. Deep ruby with a deeply tanned head, creamy and luscious. Roast chocolate taste with a little pleasant ash, tingly carbonated mf. Plums in the bg. Dry, faintly salty aftertaste. Medium body (could use more). Has some common qualities with coffee stouts. Definitely could be improved, but the product is pretty darn good as is! Thanks, Jake!

Aroma of chocolate malt as well as some hoppiness. The beer is pretty black with a rapidly diminishing head. Flavor is a nice blend of chocolatey roastiness and crisp hoppiness. Actually for the style it is very crisp and goes down smooth as can be. Very easy to drink. I expected more body from the style, but I cant complain, as this was a fantastic beer.

Eh, it was alright. I can’t quite put my finger on what wasn’t that great about it other than, 80% of the other porters I have had were better. Have been working on this 6 pack for a couple of weeks with other beers going in and out of the fridge. Wouldn’t try again unless it were free or nothing else around.
