| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Bottle. A nice beer. I used to love this one, but I think my tastes have changed. A little too light and watered-down for my current taste. rm0312 (36), Idaho, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2007 From the bottle - dark with tiny bubbles. Chocolate malt flavors, dry finish and nicely bitter. I expected a bit more malt, however, judging from the appearance.

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 2/20 | Mar 3, 2007 This is the reason microbreweries suck these days, and I run back to macros. It’s a nice package: taste, flavor, dark, malty etc. The 5.2% is a lie. I’m drinking this for the second time as a gift for dog-sitting this weekend. Porter? I’ve had macro lagers darker and better. There is truly no/minimal alcohol in this beer. Packs no punch. A big tease. This is trophy/impress-your-friends beer. You won’t get a buzz. yngwie (5000), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. It pours clear, dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is roasted, with chocolate and cocoa. Roasted flavor with chocolate and cocoa. Medium-bodied beer that is quite weak and thin, except for the aroma, which is very nice. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. Pours black with short tan head. Good lacing. Smells of sweet malt, and chocolate. Taste is slightly bitter, with coffee and chocolate character. Finish is lacking, gives you the feeling that it is missing something. Mouthfeel is very good. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Out of a bottle it pours a respectable black with a dark tan head. Aroma is sweet, almost red wine like. Taste is bitter, coffeeish and of roasted nuts. Finish is long and enjoyable. I had this one on tap at the Yard House in Phoenix and from what I remember is was a little better out of the tap. Still worth trying if you can only get the bottle though.
