Wow. Dark pour. Hint of blackberry sweetness. More sweet than most porters. Very good. Very drinkable.

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark black color with a large, fluffy, tan head that slowly fades. Taste is of roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, coffee and some caramel. A little bitter and slightly thin. Similar aroma. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Not bad, but not great either.

Nov 30, 2009 Pours deep brown, great head retention though it stays low. Leaves light lacy patterns. Subtle malt aroma. Kind of fruity with a light hint of coffee. Slight bitterness at the end, back of tongue. Low carbonation with a good amount of mouthfeel.

Thin mild lace fizzy espresso head.Clear dark black color with bronze edge.No sediment.Lightly toasted mild hop dark fruit front.Mild texture soft doughy mild sweet light toasted chocolate crystal malt crisp porter body.Mild hop spice clean Session end.Well made soothing satisfying brew, but not exceptional.

Nov 17, 2009 Mahogany pour produces a decent caramel colored head. Lots of cocoa, coffee, and even a hint of vanilla in this one. Not bad for a sessionable porter. Medium to light mouthfeel.

Nov 15, 2009 Bottled. Black but not to thick maybe even a little shade of brown with thin tan/beige head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted. Flavor is sweet and dry roasted and salty also still chocolate. Ends roasted and soft.

Nov 13, 2009 Wow what a brew! One of my favourites that I’ve had recently and really enjoyed. I love those good old hearty roasted porters. This is what i seek when i look for in an american porter. Something this big and complex. Super nutty with some cranberry sauce and a little baked apple pie on the palate. Love IT! Thanks Brando :)

Nov 5, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a clinging tan lace that stays for a while. Smell is mildly sweet in the nose with hints of charcoal, roasted malts and a touch of hops. Taste is burnt malt, expresso, roasty bitterness, chocolate and slight smokiness. A very nice well balanced porter.
