Interesting nose of dark chocolate syrup and fruity black cherry and plum notes, some sherry, and some sweet brandy-like chocolate liqueur notes. Flavor at first is sort of pasty, but quickly turns more sweet and syrupy like chocolate ice-cream topping... some sweet alcohol notes and more of that sherry and brandy character comes through. I actually really like this, and I’m not exactly sure why, but the liqueur chocolate and dessert-like sweetness is pretty easy to like. jbrus (4895), Delft, Netherlands

Smells like coffee on steroids, accompanied by chocolate. Full bodied, almost oily, with chewy, creamy carbonation. Coats the mouth. Flavor is bitter toast, coffee and chocolate. Astringent. No scimping on this recipe. Finishes deadly tasty. Must be the nibs.
