LIght brown, rocky head fades a bit too quickly leaving no lacing. Malty raisin aroma. Medium bodied and well carbonation with fine bubbles on the palate. Malt dominant flavor, pleasantlly raisiny. Modest earthy hops. Nicely done if not awe-inspiring. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Some light toast aroma and a bit of alcohol. A touch of hop spiciness in the background. Appearance: Dark reddish brown in color and pretty clear. Head was tan with a light red tint. Head was full and frothy, but dissipated quickly. Nice lacing. Flavor: Light toastiness with a sweet caramel malt flavor. Again, getting a slight spiciness from hops and a bit of a floral note, as well. Besides these light flavors, no hop flavor. Palate: Medium-light body. Moderate carbonation. Nice clean finish. Overall: A straight ahead bock with no surprises. A touch light in mouthfeel, but besides that, quite good. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Smell is malty, rich, hoppy, and sweet. Taste is similar, rich and creamy. Reminded me alot of Dead Guy, but not as hoppy. Pretty easy to drink, a rare treat. jigglyjock (159), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Thanks to Ken B. for this one, and I wholeheartedly share Ken’s enthuisiasm over this one. Pours hazy deep, deep brown, with a 1-finger tan head. Fantastic appearance on this one! The aroma is huge Wheaties, with some brown sugar. Very similar to the Celebrator aroma. Tastes like liquified Wheaties, with brown sugar notes, and some slight almond, hop, and caro syrup hints. Fairly thick palate that is balanced and complex. In my mind, this is a top tier bock beer. It went well with a hunk of aged cheddar and a piece of hard bread.
