Flavor is mostly mild roasty sweet malt. Not too bitter. Rather average really. Nothing going on here. Easy to drink. Wouldnt fill you up. Meh. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 13, 2007 Smell is a bad creaminess. Flavor is malty and funky, not liking the "biscuit". Too malty and chewy for me. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 Pours very red brown, clear with moderate carbonation and a small diminishing head. Aroma is malty, doughy, very light sweetness. Taste comes off quite bitter for a brown, too hoppy for the style. Nuttiness pokes through eventually. Very light sweetness. Mild roastiness. Finish is still bitter. Not my bag. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 10, 2007 Bottle, aroma is of very light malts, considering the style. Decent malts but not enough in my opinion. It was good but nothing memorable. boFNjackson (1305), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2007 Bottle... Poured an unfiltered deep brown with a tan head. Roasted, sweet malt on the nose. Mildly carbonated making a nice smooth roasted malt flavor, which also has sugary sweet, tarty fruit, and a touch of hops. This one is nice, one of the better spring seasonals I have had so far. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2007 This brown ale pours a dark brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, biscuit, chocolate and some fruit. Medium bodied brow ale. Malts are caramel and sweet, with some dark fruit and chocolate. Hops are floral and earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. It a touch over the top with the sweet biscuty malts, but not in ant real objectionable way. Very drinkable brown ale, decent session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet and slightly hoppy. EithCubes (2148), Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 4, 2007 Bottle. Toffee and nutty chocolate aroma, gritty with grain and some resin. Sweetish. Pours a clear amber-red with a firm, bubbly tanned head. Nuts and toffee and faint chocolate, wee hint of roast. Slightly oily thinnish body. Acidic with some bubblegum sugar. Kind of a strange one, with somewhat ill-fitted tartness, but on the whole, smooth and relaxing. Thanks, Jake! moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
