Commercial Description:
A medium bodied amber ale, Cinder Cone Red has a rich malt flavor and red color derived from four kinds of caramel malt with a hint of dark roasted barley. Amarillo and Tettnang hops balance the toffee sweetness, creating a refreshing full hop flavor. Available January through June.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pors a very nice looking amber with nice beige head. Aroma is fruity and hoppy, some nuttiness and caramel, earthy. Flavor is faint sweet, caramel, piney hops, fruit, nice hop bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, a very refreshing, tasty beer!

Pours classic amber w/ a full, semi creamy froth that recedes to a contiguous brewers lace. Aromas of snappy citrus rind and malty caramel. Very nice! Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers creates a velvety texture. Balanced malt to hops ratio w/ a defined caramely grapefruit character. The finish is bittered perfectly w/ grapefruit rind.

12 oz. bottle - another solid offering from Deschutes that is neither ordinary nor expectional; nice malt aromas and sweet roasted flavors

Tap at Boonville Beer Fest. Reddish-amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, vanilla, and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, a little roast, and fresh Amarillo hops. Crisp palate, medium body. Very good for the style.

Aroma is a fresh hop scent. Color is a deep amber with good carbonation and a nice thin but tight head. Taste super hoppy and bitter. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down fizzy. Finish is hoppy with a slight sweetness then slams you with a bold bitter bite. After taste is a little dry as the bitterness lingers on. It seems a little hoppy for an Amber but it is a very tasty brew.
