| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Pours reddish copper with a moderate white head. Aroma of grapefruit, earth, caramel, dirt and toffee, all very well meshed and held together. Tastes malty upfront with caramel, toast, and lightly burned biscuits, along with grapefruit and earthy leafy hops. Finishes with a lingering leafy, toasty and only moderately bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied, but drinks lightly. Like many Deschutes beers, it’s flawless put together and the flavors flow pretty seemlessly. Nice! djd07 (755), Houston, Texas, USA

Really pleasing malt, nicely balanced with some fresh hop character. Some astringency in the palate limits drinkability, but its still a nice drop, just not Deschutes best. jbye4334 (719), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
