Commercial Description:
A medium bodied amber ale, Cinder Cone Red has a rich malt flavor and red color derived from four kinds of caramel malt with a hint of dark roasted barley. Amarillo and Tettnang hops balance the toffee sweetness, creating a refreshing full hop flavor. Available January through June.

Bottle from Bottleworks. Pours a clear amber with light white head. Citrus aroma with a floral scent in the background. Also a strange hint of soy sauce. Light body and a little bit sweet that reminded me of bubblegume and cotton candy. A bit fizzy on the tongue.

Pours slight hazy orange with white head. Nose is on he malty sweet side. Hops are minimal, but come through with some apple & grapefruit prickle. Palate is malt focused too, but hops quickly take over. Caramel starts it out but then a light orange hopy flavor comes along, with some pine, and the finish is caramel-pine like.

Bottle. Pours nice clear amber, thin white head. A little bit of citrus hop aroma and some sweet malt, cookie dough. Taste is more malts than hops, lots of caramel and a little spicy finish. Thin to medium body. Not bad.

aroma of caramel, toasted malt, resin. copper-amber clear with off white head. good carbonation with a little gristy weight. hops kept in check. so smooth it flirts with bland.

Absolutely wonderful brew. Thick body loaded with bushells of hops. Hops linger on the tongue for minutes. Gorgeous red color. Head could've lasted longer, but so be it. Fairly neutral aroma in the bottle I'm sampling. A definite keeper!!
