Commercial Description:
A medium bodied amber ale, Cinder Cone Red has a rich malt flavor and red color derived from four kinds of caramel malt with a hint of dark roasted barley. Amarillo and Tettnang hops balance the toffee sweetness, creating a refreshing full hop flavor. Available January through June.

I had this at the Great Arizona Beer Festival in Phoenix. Pretty nice hoppy character.

Dark amber color with big fluffy white head. Scents of sweet caramel and fruit. This is an easy drinking beer, light bodied but with lot's of caramel and malt flavors. A slight tingle of hops in the finish. I'll have another.

12oz bottle: pours amber brown with decent offwhite head, aroma dominated by citrus hops, flavor has good hop bite with some caremel coming through, this beer tastes like a mix of an amber and IPA. pretty good i like.

Very nice amber color, with good clarity and ample wavy head...really 4+ in appearance...aroma is caramelly with brighter notes from the hops---quite nice...Flavor is multi-layered...good malt floor provides sweetness, balanced by well-hopped top-end that starts out slightly citrusy and then gives way to and interesting floral bloom that is dry at the same time...finish is dry with some lingering malty sweetness riding shotgun..The body is appropriately middle-of-the-road, with enough malt weighiness...it is also effervescent, the moderate carbonation providing enough spritely quality to complement the whole package...Overall, this is well-constructed, well-balanced, good-looking, and good-tasting...a really nice all-around performer...

Somewhat hazy, reddish caramel color with a small head, but good retention and very nice lacing. Slightly spicy citrus hops aromas, but a strong caramel malt presence as well. Flavor profile is similarly well-balanced, with toasted malts playing off the citrus and pine hops notes. Medium body, well-carbonated, and a clean finish.

Bottled: from out west! Pours a red amber color with a small amount of visible yeast. Smells of malt with hints of caramel, and taste sweet tartish with a lasting flavor of toffee. Nice amber ale!

Amber in color with a small and lightly tan head. Aroma is of grapefruit and some pine. The flavor is also a little piney with some hop bitterness and grapefruit. Not too much carbonation with a ligt to medium body.
