I really like this beer. It’s very malty with just the right amount of hops to keep it interesting. This is a great beer.

On tap at The Red in Santa Cruz. Poured into a nonic. Dark amber with a dense beige head that seems to last forever. Almost a nitro quality to it. Aroma is kind of faint, with some standard PNW hoppiness and bready malt. Flavor is also subdued, and it’s pretty much the same as the aroma. Citrus hops with a touch of herbalness, and sweet malt for balance. On the watery side. Mouthfeel is nitro-esque as well. Not thin but a little flat. Easily drinkable.

Aroma is a nice hop scent. Color is a bright clear amber with good carbonation a thin tight head. Taste is mildly roasted and hoppy. Starting with a medium body it goes down crisp with a clean feel. Finish comes in with a mild roasted malt flavor that has a slight sweetness to it then a nice hop flavor comes in back by a mellow bitterness. After taste is clean with the bitterness fading slowly. Its a nice Amber Ale and its better then there Cinder Cone Red.

Copper with medium head. Spicy/floral hop aroma. Nice mix of hops and finishes with a good bitterness. Too sweet. Taste has a bit of sulfur. Dry finish. Unique and interesting, but room for improvement.

Really weak, bland and just overall unimpressive. I throw this down with things like Thunderhead IPA and other crap.

Bottle from Ashland, OR. I’d have to say that it’s great as an organic, but not the best as a beer overall. Still, it was malty and bit better, which rounded out the taste. Not too bad.
