Pours a copper color with two fingers of off-white head that dissolves into a frothy layer atop the beer. The aroma is mostly toasted malts and bread but there is some "metallic" aroma. Taste is caramel goodness upfront with some burnt bread and sweet bitterness on the end. Its medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Its pretty sweet with lots of bready notes. Decent enough but I prefer a little more hop character from an amber. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark gold with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves decent lacing. The nose is malt and light citrus. The taste is caramel, earthy hops and a bittering finish similar to an English Bitter. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad. These organic beers always taste a little off to me though. yespr (12404), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2009 I am usually skeptical about these organic beers, its cool but not really viable so whats the point? Anyway this is a great beer that just happens to be organic. Very nice orange-amber color with a soapy white head. Smells citrusy and tastes fruity and floral. Drinkability is awesome as the bomber was gone quickly. This reminded me of Inversion a little bit. Well done Deschutes!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2009 Bottle. Poured with a nice-sized, white head, with very good lacing. Body was clear and amber-colored. Aroma was of light malt... and some light hops in there as well. Already it’s intriguing. Medium-bodied on the palate, with average carbonation. Very interesting flavor... malty, initially... but again, ends quite bitter and hoppy. I don’t think I’ve had an amber ale that was this hoppy before. Very enjoyable. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Drank it on tap at San Francisco’s Toronado with my father. Medium bodied, mostly sweet like an amber ale, but better because the nice usage of hops that give it more flavor. shotgunn (33), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Pours an amber orange with a little off-white head that does some lacing. It smeels of crisp hops and to the tongue it is crisp and clean. It is a great summer ale. Cheers. gracefullypunk (327), Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Amber honey color with plenty of bubbles and a thick head. Very sweet smell with not much hops to balance. Pleasant mouthfeel. Not much complexity to the taste, mostly caramel with spicy and peppery hop finish. A couple extra points for the organic factor.
