| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2009 This beer is nice. It’s a light crisp well balanced Ale that has a really nice floral and citrus aroma. The malt profile is sweet and balances really well A nice example of the Crystal hop which is a slightly more floral lighter version of cascade. carruthm (1162), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Pours a dark amber/copper color... Not a ton of malt flavoring but a healthy amount of floral hop action. Good carbonation with citrus finish. not very much bite.... Kind of what you would expect from a beer called organic ale. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Aroma: Mild aroma with notes of floral and citrus and malts.
Appearance: It pours clear with a dark copper color with a tall off white head. The Head is creamy (small bubbles) and persistent. The lacing is thick and clings to side of the glass top to bottom.
Flavor: Balanced towards the bitter side. No discernable hop flavor, but the malt backbone is strong and provides a solid canvas for bitterness.
Mouth Feel: It is a full bodied beer with effervescences on the sides of the tongue.
Overall Impression: A beautiful beer brewed to style that exudes quality. I would buy it again if I if it was sold in Kansas City. Personally I would prefer a stronger hop flavor, but then Deschutes brews IPAs and Pale Ales for hop lover like me… I have four more Deschutes beers to taste and I look forward to it.
