It smeels of crisp hops and to the tongue it is crisp and clean. It is a great summer ale. Cheers. philbertk (178), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 2, 2008 Some sweet malts cascade above this briliantly amber ale with a thick khaki head. Mmmm... Nicely toasted caramel malts, some fruitiness with some citric hoppy twang. Very rich in flavor. This is a gem. Thanks André! jimmbo123 (37), Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 29, 2009 One of my favorites from Oregon Brewer’s Festival 2009. I don’t know how good it is in the bottle, but the sample I had was excellent. Very smooth and well balanced with superior tasting hops - like Stone Levitation Ale (nearly). mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Aroma: Mild aroma with notes of floral and citrus and malts.
Appearance: It pours clear with a dark copper color with a tall off white head. The Head is creamy (small bubbles) and persistent. The lacing is thick and clings to side of the glass top to bottom.
Flavor: Balanced towards the bitter side. No discernable hop flavor, but the malt backbone is strong and provides a solid canvas for bitterness.
Mouth Feel: It is a full bodied beer with effervescences on the sides of the tongue.
Overall Impression: A beautiful beer brewed to style that exudes quality. I would buy it again if I if it was sold in Kansas City. Personally I would prefer a stronger hop flavor, but then Deschutes brews IPAs and Pale Ales for hop lover like me… I have four more Deschutes beers to taste and I look forward to it.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Lemon cream nose, soft caramel and honey notes. Deep amber color, latte like foam that stood firm. Rich malts, subtle hops that develop a perfect balance. Effervescent, silky body and long smooth satisfying finish. This really is one of the best balanced beers I’ve ever tasted. An excellent, excellent beer! arrogantb (734), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2009 I am usually skeptical about these organic beers, its cool but not really viable so whats the point? Anyway this is a great beer that just happens to be organic. Very nice orange-amber color with a soapy white head. Smells citrusy and tastes fruity and floral. Drinkability is awesome as the bomber was gone quickly. This reminded me of Inversion a little bit. Well done Deschutes!

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 22, 2008 22 oz. bottle: Pours a deep amber color, slightly cloudy, with a modest creamy head. Sour cheery aroma.
Buoyancy from the carbonation
keeps the spicy rum raisin malt and crisp, low-acid hop character poised.
Complex, closer to an effervescent, lighter-bodied abbey ale than a typical amber.
Satisfying dry finish lengthens and dries dramatically as ale warms in glass.
