ditmier (286), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 24, 2008 Tap @ Bardenay - I loved this beer. This is probably the lightest bodied Deschutes beer i’ve tasted, but by no means boring. Dark brown with little head, malt and mild hops on the front end, carmel citrus in the end. This is nothing to write home about, but great when you don’t have any idea what to expect.
dwyerpg (2143), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Nov 28, 2008 Looks great. Not much aroma. This is nice- a pretty even balance of malts and hops in this. A dry finish. Good stuff. marcus (1119), Sacramento, California, USA Nov 3, 2008 This amber ale poured with a nice off-white head that lasted a while. There is a slightly sweet and fruity full caramel malt flavor with just enough hopping.to produce a tangible bitterness at the finish. Not the best best beer from this brewer, but worth a taste. brianprentiss (416), Mountain View, California, USA Oct 31, 2008 not a bad amber ale. most organics are still kind of crappy, this one isn’t so bad. i’ll try again if the price at whole foods comes down. beerguy101 (3547), Newark, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Sampled 10/15/08. This amber ale pours a deep amber color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with nice retention and decent retention. The aroma is malty, fruity with some hops. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramely and not too sweet. A touch of fruitiness as well. The hops are fairly forward and somewhat piney. It not your typical sweet mess of malt amber, it seems to have some hops, malt character and body. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. LilBeerDoctor (733), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bottle courtesy of scrizzz. Pours a pretty clear deep red with a small white head. Flavor of sweet malt and light fruits. Flavor is light with nice fruitiness. Also a light spiciness that is really tasty. Definitely the best organic beer I’ve had (it’s a short list, but still). Nice amber with a spicy kick.
