cprochak (388), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2009 On draft at the brewery 6/26/09. Clear golden amber with white head that putters out quickly. Straight bitter with a little honey sweetness. Lively on tongue and the fizziness seem to last much longer. COuld use some more hops. One of the more disappointing Deschutes offerings, but still better than many IPAs out there. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Apr 27, 2009 Draft @ Deschutes in Portland. Clear dull amber colored body. Crusty and meaty caramel malt clash with toasted grains and nuts, the hop character seems more like a nut-centered noble deal rather than citrus as suggestion by the description. Flavor also have a hefty munich/vienna/caramel sweetness and chewiness. Moderately bitter. Another unremarkable IPA.
