Commercial Description:
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Bottle from Bottleoworks. Coppery orange, very little head. Killer aroma of big, fresh, floral hops. Floral and fruity, earthy and woodsy the aroma pretty much runs the gamut of hop aromas. Flavor is even better, with hop fresh hop flavors dominating. A little on the thin side, which I like in this type of beer. Dry, surprisingly clean finish. I really enjoyed this and wish I had more.

Bottle from Samurai Artist. This starts out like any great ipa with a clear copper color and a lasting white head. Grapefruit, straw, and a little bit o’ funk in the aroma. Flavor is hop forward with a bit of body and bitterness on the backside. I am a big fan of these beers right now so I’m a little biased. Even though it’s a bit one dimensional with the hops, it’s a fabulous dimension.

pour is a cloudy amber with a tint of orange, nice creamy egg-shell head, good lacing. smell is faint, somewhat hoppy, touch of citrus, and maybe a few roasted nuts thrown in, sorta creamy on the back-end. taste is malty, light grapefruit, tingy on the tip of the tongue, bitter in the end. nice brew.

Bottle: Pours a murky orange-brown color with no head and minimal lacing. Strong peach and mango aroma with mild floral hop notes. Dry, tart citrus flavor that ends with minimal hops present. Decent.

Bottle. Hazy amber, thin creamy head. Super floral and fruity with a strong peach aroma and notes of apple jolly rancher + CO2. This really tastes like a malty peach nectar. Light bodied and easy drinking. Low bitterness. Very nice, delicate ale.
