Commercial Description:
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

22oz bottle. Golden amber color with a medium sized foamy white head. Soft herbal and grassy hop aroma, some lemongrass. Buttery, slight caramel malt, juicy citrus. Herbal, slightly earthen hops with lingering butter. Mouthfeel is medium light.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, hops, pine needles, and spices. The flavor is sweet malty and dominated by hops and pine needles.

Gorgeous amber color. Floral aroma. The flavor is mellow, but a touch skunky. Pretty smooth to drink.

Wonderful round characteristics, it’s got a soft-yet-intense hoppiness you only recognize if you’ve gnawed on the fresh stuff. The finish is muted, perhaps it’s been in the bottle too long.

On draft. Notable for its sweet, ESB-y qualities, due to "wet hopping" I am told. I’ll certainly have again.

Bomber, pours lightly hazy golden amber with a two finger white head, great lacing. Aroma of wet hops, grass, floral, pine and some caramel. Flavor is a bit lacking from the aroma, everything is present, just hiding behind a watery base - ho,hum. What starts strong just can’t seem to deliver when it comes to actually drinking this one...

amber color with light head - very strong hop aroma that smells like hops on the vine - nice and smooth flavor with little bittering hops and mucho flavor/aroma hops - very strong grapefruit taste balances well with the malt - I expected this to be another of those overhopped monstrosities but it was very well balanced

Amber color with a medium head. Very fresh hop aroma with some floral/grass, tobacco, peas and some earthiness - a very impressive bouquet of hop smells. Flavor is smooth and delicious - tasty hop flavors that are super fresh and leafy/flowery. Nice malt backing. Good finish and very refreshing. As good as any wet hop APA out there.
