Commercial Description:
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Thanks to kenb for the trade. Pours a translucent golden amber with an average foamy off white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral, big caramel malt backbone, lots of candy sweetness. Flavors of various citrus, chewy hops with a nice bitterness, nutty/caramel malt balance. Slightly thing, great fresh hop aroma.

22 oz. Bottle. Aroma had both floral and citrus hitting the nose. Dark orange body with off white head. Flavor was a good mix of sweet cherry, oranges when the bitterness is present in the middle till finish. Dry citrus peel atertaste a decent brew.

22oz bottle (thanks to kyzr) poured a hazy dark copper color with a small off white head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops with a rich malt backing. The flavor had a strong bitterness that was unexpected. The finish had a strong, almost musty hop profile from the use of the fresh hops.

Copper in color with laced white head. Nose of citrus and cut grass. Flavor is hoppy with a meduim body, finish is sweet. Well balanced apa.

Sampled on 2/3/07: Pours a transparent orange copper with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh earthy piny hops and lightly sweet pale malt. Body starts sweet and slightly toasty pale malty with some earthy bittering hops toward a bittersweet thinner finish. A pretty decent APA, but could have a more assertive grapefruity hoppiness.

Aroma of flowers. Beautiful coppery color with a white head that laces a slight bit. A light version of Lagunitas Lucky #13? Starts with full mouthfeel, floral and citrus flavors/aromas. This is not super hoppy, it’s just hard to find malty sweetness. Good stuff. Really. Beautiful appearance, wonderful flavors.

22 oz bottle. Cloudy tea with a trace of white head. Orange nose wafts up from a base of grapefruit pith. Lemon-lime; a little sweet, a little bitter. Gentle carb with substantial body for an APA. A nice pale.

Mmmm a nice good hoppy beer. Pours nice with a thick white fluffy head. Aroma is sweet with a very bubbly texture after the pour. Flavor is very strong we high quality hops. A very nice brew.
