Commercial Description:
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Light amber with a light tan head. Aroma caramel, citrus, floral hops. Fruity flavor, sweet crisp with enough bitterness. Somewhat thin palate, but very refreshing and drinkable. It is hoppy but not overwhelmingly so.

In short: A highly drinkable refreshing IPA focussing of tropical fruity astringent flavours.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase. Bières et Bouffe III tasting session.
The look: Clear golden orange body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: Nose of oranges and pineapples with floral elements. Expressive malts, crisp and tasty with a nice honeyed sweetness that blends very well with the fruity hopping. The hopping brings a lot of juicy fruity flavours but little bitterness. Flavours of pineapples, kiwis, tangerines, etc. Nice little tartness and astringency. Very nice refreshing IPA. This was a good hop trip which is nice because I hear that if you have a bad hop trip you see talking InBev beers trying to stab you.

Crushed with Jakebra. Bummer. Had high hopes for this one. All their others were badass. Kinda nice nose. Very sweet flavor with minimal hop presence, and this is about as thin as it gets. Pretty much pro-ana. Musta been an old bottle...hopefully.

Very well done pale ale. Copper color with a beige head and good lacing. Excellent fresh hop aroma. You can taste the freshness of the hops - this thing is lupulin city. Clean-tasting with pale malt and piney hoppy goodness. Typical pale ale mouthfeel, maybe with a little extra hop oiliness.

22oz bottle-pours a rich to rocky light tan head that laces and hazy amber/copper color. Aroma is citrus-grapefruit/tangerine, pine, secondary medium malt-caramel. Taste is citrus-grapefruit/tangerine, pine, some sweet herbal, secondary medium malt-caramel. Nothing outrageous and outside the box, just outrageous inside the box good. Very drinkable. OK/mild carbonation. Thanks to skourtis & piclee & bitterbill for trades with jwc215 and me.

(11/4/08) Draught at Hamilton’s in San Diego. Deep golden color. Aroma of resinous hops. Flavor with some malt and caramel but mostly very resinous hops and some pine. Medium-bodied, a bit oily.

Thanks turdferguson for sharing. Pours a clean copper with some haze. The head is one finger thick frothy and offwhite. Thenose is fruity, fresh, mildly resionous hop feel, ctirusy, sweet malt backbone, some orange peel. The flavor has a very nice mild balancing hop bitterness, some bubblegum character, sweet malt character, less hop flavor but a very nice presence. Palate is nice and balanced.
