| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Bottle thanks to Bitbucket Transparent red-amber with a thin yellow head. Grapefruit, pine, and light toast in the nose. Slightly soapy flavor of sharp citrus, mainly grapefruit, also some grain and burnt sugar. Moderate body, finish is dominated by citrus. Though singular and dominated by grapefruit, the fruit notes are uniquely potent. carboloader (321), Houston, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Pours orange with light white head. Wow, I love the bitterness of this one. It’s like a Mirror Pond on steroids. Classic West Coast hop aromas and flavors, with more citrus than some of their other pale ales. A nice bite with a decent amount of resin in the finish. Very drinkable. I wish i could get it more often. nate2g (1139), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with a creamy white head. Ahh the aroma...I’m surprised just how fresh this is from the bottle. Caramel malt, grapefruit, citrus and resiny hops. The flavour is just as good, if not better. Absolutely delicious, just how I like an IPA to be. Very smooth in the mouthfeel and a nice hoppy kick in the finish. Very moreish, a shame there wasn’t more to go around. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Number 150! Nice foamy head sits atop a lightly hazy red-orange. Lemony hops and a little bit of sweetness in the nose. Flavor is dominated by sticky citrus hops, and there’s a pleasant caramel malt note accompanying. Caramel malt + resiny hops = a great combination. A nice smooth palate, and the beer sticks to the mouth on the way down. A nice and easy-drinking IPA.
