The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and hops, as well as light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry straw finish. A very special thanks goes out to my mystery friend at the Hood River Hops Fest who gave me this. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 1, 2006 Dark amber colour. Big woody aroma with a nutty, boozy component. Syrupy with a bourbony character. Really sappy, sticky. Rather two-dimensional and the bourbon doesn’t work well with the malts so it all falls apart for me. KimJohansen (7149), Copenhagen V, Denmark
