brettpace (174), Northridge, California, USA Oct 1, 2007 I really liked this beer. Good hop aroma, good hop taste, not to malty, bitter. Cascades really come through. I would love to drink this again.
adm (5), Alfold Crossways, Surrey, England does not count Oct 13, 2008 Enjoyable - although my rating is probably a bit unfairly low as I have only been able to drink this out of the bottle with no available glass - so the aroma and appearance probably aren’t getting a fair chance....
Anyway - nice Cascade aroma, but quite earthy. I’m going to pass on appearance, but the flavour is fairly bready, with not much lingering hop aftertaste. Medium body. Bronzan (3), Cotati, California, USA does not count Oct 12, 2008 A nice pale ale. Fairly hoppy. Quite smooth with a semi-sweet aftertaste. kmweaver (2125), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Oct 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, medium honey-orange color; bright white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Resiny, fresh earthy and floral hops in the aroma; some tree fruits and sweet malts. Medium mouthfeel: lots of sweet earthy and floral hops upfront; clean and resiny hop character; some earthy, basic candy sugar maltiness underneath; very drinkable, nicely composed APA. Medium finish: toasty malts, earthiness, and lingering dry bitterness; toasty and crisp. anders37 (2753), Malmö, Sweden Oct 6, 2008 Draught @ Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Pours a slightly hazy dark ambe color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. durhambeer (537), Durham, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle from WBF in Durham. Amber pour, off white head. This was surprisingly good... and very hoppy for a pale ale thanks to the abundance of Cascade hops. Skunky, resiny, citrusy, tasty hops. A bit thin. Good stuff.
