Light grainy nose, clear pale gold--not what I expected in color. Low head. Big cracked grain component in the middle--almost too much so. Dainty bitter. Thinish. I can see where they are going with this but not like a classic Kellerbier.

Portland, OR: Nov. 2008: Light yelow color, fizzy carbonation. Very light nose and taste. I don’t know where the unfiltered is supposed to come from. Has a bit cracked grain taste- but it is not really in the style. Still a nice and decent beer.

Draught at the Portland pub. Mostly clear yellow with a very faint haziness. Peppery, minty sharp celery sweet crystalline hop character - sugary but not sweet, almost gritty. Snappy lemon citrus and lemongrass is heavy. Snappy saaz hops give it an appropriate dryness. Frothy fresh and delicious, very drinkable stuff.

On tap at the Portland Pub. Pours gold, lightly cloudy, with a soft white head. I think I prefer this style of pilsner, the yeastiness added a nice bready body to it that accentuated the hops nicely. Very crisp and refreshing beer, not eggy or thin like a lot of pils you find.

On tap at Deschutes Brewpub in Portland, OR--Poured a hazy burnt sienna-copper body with a medium whitish head. Robust, cracker and biscuit nose. Bready with a grassy hops bite. Clean and refreshing flavor. Great full bodied mouthfeel. Finished with a sweet bitter blend that worked quite well.

Tap @ brewpub - Not having had a lot of experience with this style, I was not sure what to expect. This was however quite drinkable. Light toasted grain aroma, with a bit of bready maltiness, quite clean and crisp. I would drink this again.

Straw color, creamy white head. Corny nose. Light sweet grainy profile, with a light, but medium length hop finish
