Pours pitch black, with a small, tan head. Light aroma of coffee. Flavor of roasted nuts, espresso, brown sugar, and dark chocolate. Palate is creamy, thinner than expected, and finishes on the dry side. Overall a solid stout, but not spectacular.

Jul 2, 2008 Aromas of cereal grains, vegetable, molasses, licorice, charcoal and vanilla with floral hops backing. Kinda reminds me of rootbeer.
Flavors of dark chocolate, smoky coffee, charred malts, and nuts. Some dark winey/fruity notes; cherry and plum.
Creamy palate, lots of bubbly. Dry finish.

Jun 29, 2008 Pours a dark dirt/tar, chocolate brpown with tan head that dissipates to a tan lacing. Aroma is nutty, chocolaty and malty. Strong coffee flavor with roasted malts. Body is mild and medium.

Jun 25, 2008 Pours black with a thick brown head. Roasty aroma with a bit of coffee. Flavor is more of the same. There is also a sweetness that provides a nice balance. No blow-me-away flavors, but a good stout none the less.

Jun 24, 2008 Bottle. Pitch black, small tan head than just sits there forever. Straight ahead coffee nose and flavor. Very roasty, warming, and so incredibly smooth. Surprisingly strong flavors. I love it.
