A very light golden colored pils, with a fresh floral nose and was very clean upon the 1st sip, light fruitiness, with some toasted malts and a spicy saaz hop finish. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Maybe pilsners are designed to be average, and that’s why I can’t get behind them. Maybe this beer had so little to distinguish it from anything else that I can’t even truthfully tell you any reason to buy this beer, other than even though it’s not that good, it’s not that bad either. lumberbroker (4), Kalispell, Montana, United States Virgin Islands does not count | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 14, 2004 You have to have this out of the tap, or else it is very average, It is one of my beers of choice if I can have it out of th tap willblake (2172), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

No yeast on the nose to speak of, excellent--toasted, light grains and springtime, flowery herbs. Taste is very mildly hopped, touch of sweetness. Finish is crystal clear. Nice beer, could be a touch more dry and semi-sweet. Bill Becker (37), Casper, Wyoming, USA

Clear, exceptionally pale straw with plenty of carbonation bubbles. Puffy, bright white head starts thick and holds extremely well and leaves lots of soapy lace. The aroma is dominated by herbal, noble hops that lend a clean sharpness over a solid base of toasted, crackery malt. Some freshly mown hay and faint citrus (lemon) as well. Starts out well balanced, with a good amount of herbal, leafy hop flavor over a foundation of lightly toasted, grainy malt. Clean and crisp, with a dry firmness of body. Turns midway towards the hops, which take over and lead into the dry and lengthy finish. Yeast pour towards the end (always good to see a bottle-conditioned pils) thickens it up a bit, but doesn’t blur the crispness and cleanliness. Overall, a well done German-style pils that doesn’t hold back on the hop flavor. More hop bitterness would be welcome, but it’s still a tasty beer as is. My thanks to Gromit for the bottle.
