| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Kiefdog. Pours a nice amber color with a thick white head. Nose is sweet hops, citrus, fruit, pine and floral notes. Flavor is a very well balanced sweet caramel malt, some sweet fruit flavors, slight alcohol presence, bitter pine and sharp citrus hops. Very very nice. I could drink a bunch of this. Hopcrazy (27), Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 17, 2009 22 oz bottle pours a clear copper color with a thick pillowy white head. Not much lacing. Mild malty nose (and I have a cold so I’ll try this one again). Taste is somewhat hoppy and more sweet maltiness with some mild metallic twinge in there at the finish. dmac (1466), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2009 Bottle shared at the UFC 100 gathering, no idea at all who brought this one, sorry. Poured a nice clear orange/amber body with an average sized foamy off whiten head. Aroma was citrus hops with a touch of pine, caramel and toffee. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Flavor was similar to the aroma. Overall a decent IPA but could use a touch more bitterness to keep hopheads such as myself happy. bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA

Very hoppy smell with sweet fruitiness as well. Taste is similar, with light caramel malts mixed in there. really tasty. MaltOMeal (652), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2009 bomber. Pours a clear amber with a big, tan head. Great lacing. Nose is of hops, but less than expected. Taste is better than the nose, with hops and malt noticeable. Mouthfeel is medium bitter with lots of carbonation. A little below the good IPAs. captaincass (45), Everson, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 15, 2009 smells crisp and very deschutesy, hoppy but a little tame, has that deschutes sweetness too, tastes crisp and very nice hop flavor could use a little more as well as some hop bitterness to balance out the sweetness. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Thank God I have a good connection for DeSchutes in Pa. This beer makes me feel that there is something unique to Oregon IPAs or Maybe it is just Deschutes? One man’s IPA is another man’s Pale Ale. I think that is the case for this beer. It pours a beautiful orange brown, not much in the nose but it the first sip is a great balance of malt and hops, the finish is a nice creamy hoppy flavor like you are drinking a hoppy beer on Nitrogen. Really great cross over IPA - Pale ale.
