Commercial Description:
Unconventional. Uncompromising. A Deschutes original. This IPA style beer utilizes hops in a way never attempted by our brewers, evident in both aroma and flavor. The Cascade and Centennial hops are balanced by 2 types of crystal malts as well as American pale malt and German pilsner malt. The wind beneath your wings, perhaps… IBU’s: 63

One of the highlights in my recent, quick journey to Washington. Was actually rather disappointed with the brews this time around. Amber to copper in color. Nice fresh hops aromas, with grapefruit, pine, caramel and grass. Nice smooth near oily feel. Malt and grain mix with floral and grapefruit hops. A touch grainy but otherwise an enjoyable brew.

Pours an orange gold color with an off white head. It has a nice pungent hop aroma with pine, grapefruit, and a little caramel. Very fruity flavor with grapefruit, peaches, and sweet apples. It lacks a good spicy malt base that I like with my IPA’s, and the appley flavor is a big off putting for me, but otherwise, a tasty beer.

Pours a bright orange hue, big thick white foam persists, excellent clarity. Nose is piney hops and bready malts, light fruit and citrus. Flavor is thick bread and biscuit malts balanced out by lighter grass/pine hops, touch of citrus, finishes slightly bitter and dry. Medium-bodied, smooth and silky texture, moderate carbonation. Very well-balanced, easy drinking, balanced IPA of the single variety.

Pours amber with a good head that lingers. Nice lacing. Sweet malt and citrus aromas. Full nectar with pillowy soft effers. A sturdy malt backbone provides a good foundation to build the spiny hop 2x4’s. Great balance is achieved. Mellow, soft and delicious.

It pours out of the bottle golden red w/a little head that disperses quickly and laces the glass a little. To the nose it is straight HOPS. It tastes crisp, a little bit of pine and a little bit of citrus, and finishes clean. It is truely a great northwest IPA that has become the standard for American IPA’s. Another great beer from Deschutes, congrats guys.

Bomber from Country Club Liquors. Nose is pine, ivy, caramel, crab apples, and citrus. Hazy copper with a big, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is light bitterness, ivy, caramel, and some light fruity notes. Finish is light bitterness. Enjoyable but not great.

This copper ale poured with a three finger beige head and a citrus aroma. The flavor is pine and citrus, balanced with some vey tasty caramel malt.
