Sep 13, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry hoppy, light brettish. Crisp hoppy, light fruity and with a vague sweetness coming through. Bitter and mild mango fruity flavoured into a smooth finish. Smooth and nice.

Sep 13, 2009 Bottle 65 cl. Clear amber with a lacing off-white head. Sweet, citrusy hop aroma with a peachy edge also. Medium body, sweet caramel and fruits - quite sweet actually. Discreetly bitter finish. A very pleasant if a little sweet IPA. 130909

Sep 12, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours clearish amber with a moderate sized, creamy, offwhite head and good lace. Smells caramelly malty and earthy hoppy. Subdued, slightly metallic hops. Tastes malty, caramelly sweet with a moderate earthy hop flavor, not bitter at all just like the label says. Flavors falls pretty flat for me though, could use the bitterness I think. Medium body, coats the mouth, pretty gross, good carbonation.

Sep 7, 2009 Pretty good, tasted weaker than 7% alcohol. I liked the inversion IPA better and thought that one was hoppier. The Red Chair has more caramel malt with a lot of earth tones as well. Lightly dry and toasty finish. Citrus hop aroma. Medium bodied. Overall, it was a pretty typical, but better than average, IPA.

Sep 5, 2009 22oz - Aroma of pine resin, crystal malts and caramel. Flavor matches but is a little soapy. Palate is clean. Tasty and just different enough to stand out.

Sep 3, 2009 In short: A solid well malted and resinous tasty IPA. Standard flavour spectrum but above average execution.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it as a bonus from Blutt59. Thanks a lot Bob.
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium off-white with medium retention
In long: The hoppy nose is resinous, citrusy and with pine cone notes. Pleasant malt backbone of fruity caramelized hops. Flavour wise the hops lose the pine cone character of the aroma and gain a strong floral character while preserving the resinous and citrusy components of the aroma. The more I drank it the more resinous the hops felt. The bitterness is of medium intensity. Not a hot summer day refreshing IPA, the resinous character and the rich caramel makes it a rather tasty IPA to enjoy slowly. I really liked this brew, I even think it is underrated. Another solid IPA from the west-coast, a region that is well known for its west-coast style IPAs.

Aug 30, 2009 22 ounce bottle at the Relentless Thirst Gathering in Richmond, VA, 8.29.09. Pours a clear amber color with a medium head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma is bitter citrus hops and nutty malt notes. Taste is bitter citrus hops with light malty notes. Medium bodied.
